My husband’s office had a fall/ Halloween luncheon for the staff and their families on Friday. They had called me previously to see if I’d make a cake for the event and here is the finished work. I was relatively pleased with it.
There was a chocolate cake layer and a yellow cake layer with vanilla/almond buttercream icing. Overall I think that most people enjoyed it, so that was good too!

Our new puppy!
He is a Bichon Frise and about 14 weeks old. He definitely keeps us on our toes! So far it’s great though… hard work with house training and crate training etc. but I think that as new puppy parents, we are doing alright.
Well, the bakery opened today, and overall I would say it was a great success! I don’t think that the massive turnout was quite expected (they actually almost sold out a time or two), but there is a learning curve. If today is any indication, however, I think that the bakery has a BRIGHT future ahead of it, and I’m looking forward to being a part.
