My senior year of college there was a daffodil walk/class on my birthday (which was a Saturday that year) and it was early, maybe 8 or 9 am (for a college student that’s brutal), but I really wanted to go, and no one would go with me, so I decided to go by myself. I LOVE daffodils. The Arboretum there has TONS of them in several different varieties. It was such a great day though. That morning there was a class talking about the flower itself (it broke my heart when he cut one in half to show the inside etc.) and then we walked through the arboretum while the professor discussed the various kinds etc. It was glorious. I brought my old SLR camera that day and took three rolls worth of film of almost all daffodils. The only downside to the day was that I didn’t think to put on sunscreen… oh well, otherwise it was nearly perfect. I thought I’d share some of those photos for today:
